Displaced she feels
as though she doesn't belong
no matter where she goes
the feeling remains strong.

She has searched
and search she does still
for a place in this world to call her own,
so at peace she will feel

Life alone seems so empty
and has her uneasy
floating and drifting along
as though she were on the seven seas

one day she hopes to anchor down
find her heart and mind's content,
end this terrifying plunge into nothing
and endless need to vent

At peace she needs to be
totally at ease she needs to feel
she can see
she needs something real.
