It's certainly tempting, I'd love to hear their haunting ballad 'Motherfucker From Hell' played live!

Apparently it is going to be 13 or 14 on the setlist; my source is usually quite reliable, depending on how much ale he has supped during his Canary Wharf lunch break

Excellent! Not too keen on the support though (My Morning Jacket).

I didn't mind 'It Still Moves', the rest of their stuff has left me pretty cold. Still, really looking forward to the main act!

Ah, lloks like My Morning Kacket have cancelled their European tour anyway, so I wonder who the support will be?

MY MORNING JACKET CANCEL EUROPEAN TOUR Pitchfork My Morning Jacket - get well soon!report: "Oof. Pity Jim James, My Morning Jacket frontman, who appears to be hurtin' still from his recent fall in Iowa City that already forced the cancellation of a few shows on the band's autumn U.S. tour. And, while you're at it, pity the show-going sorts of Europe, who will be forced to wait a while to see their beloved My Morning Jacket. Indeed, the MMJ boys have canceled their European tour, which they had intended to kick off a little later this month in Dublin. As they note in a statement on their website, "our hope was to merely postpone the tour, but as our scheduling does not allow that to happen in the immediate future, we feel it is best to cancel this tour in hopes of re-scheduling at some point." There's a little good news, though: those Chicago dates that were nixed in the wake of James' tumble have been rescheduled for December 27-28. As it stands right now, those gigs are the next on the band's itinerary, which also has them off to New Zealand, Australia, and Japan in the new year." |
