Why do people spend endless hours going on about music? It is totally subjective. If you like a certain band, type of music, busker! It's your choice. Who give's a fuck who agrees with you? Why would it matter?

I agree its a light way to open a conversation that everyone can have an idea about. it does not matter if you like the same music you just talk then............

you could say the same about relationships, the arts or anything that is opinion, people talk about these things because they like to find common ground and not sit in silence... if people didnt discuss their opinions, life would be without debate, fullfillment from agreement and well, interesting conversations; all youd have would be talking about facts... wheres the fun in that?
