Home >> Music >> July 19th - free music/arts festival day in Hertfordshire
14.06.2008, 13:08 quote
The 'Kaleidoscope' festival is on July 19th this year in Welwyn Garden City, Herts.
Last year was a good day out - I got well mashed.
Basically, there's plenty for everyone and they have loads of stuff for the kids, rides & slides, arts & crafts etc, displays, and two stages, one is a 'dance' stage which seems to have mainly world music and performance dance troupes etc, and the other is the 'main' stage which is the best with a mix of local acts and solo artists, upcoming rock bands etc.
The music goes on from 12 noon usually and finishes around 6.
There's beer tents, loads of foods from around the world, and it's in the lovely setting of Stanborough Park with the natural arena, large boating lakes etc.
Best of all its a free festival, so entry and all the entertainment is all free.
All we need now is some nice weather.
I think i found a link to their main site >>> http://www.kalfest.org.uk/
and I found these couple of pics but they dont really convey how big it is.
Main stage and 'arena' hillside
Belly dancing!
Rock climbing.
