There isn't enough space to list all the gigs I've been to even for this year Very Happy

Last night I saw Friendly Fires supported by Tough Love and S.W.A.N.K. . There was a DJ set by Steve and Maya from The Soho Dolls.

This all took place at The Good Ship in Kilburn it was quite a strange evening, but hey, thats Kilburn for you.

Next one up is The New Years Eve, Eve. Gig at The Scala on the 30th featuring among others Suzerain and The Soho Dolls. A nice way to round off 2006.

red hot chili peppers this year at don valley in sheffield and in manchester city stadium couple of years ago(rock gods!)
prince-lovesexy tour 88... wembley arena yet to see a concert to better that pure class!
foo fighters-sheffield leadmill
black grape-doncaster dome
housemartins- octagon sheffield Embarassed young and free tickets, you would have!
but even the house martins where good compared to the support at the chilis pepper gig in manchester a couple of years ago,not on about james brown who was fab but >chicks on speed< they are without doubt the most talentless "group/artist"i have ever heard, booed off to a shower of balls and plastic bottles.

I used to go to a lot of gigs 20 years ago when I was a punk. Punk gigs mostly used to take place in smallish venues usually with a disco in between the bands so it was more like a club night. Because of the small intimate nature of the venues, which were often large pubs they were good places to pull and also to make friends. I made loads of friends in the punk scene. But unfortunatly didn't pull any girls. At the time punk girls had a reputation for being slappers.

Only ever been to see one band, Hawkwind I think it was about 1986 "Live Chronicles album" at sheffield, but its a bit difficult to pin down the year. If you know Hawkwind I'm sure you can guess why I have trouble remembering, but it was a great show.
