| for me it's got to be the 90's. best period for indie guitar bands, especially with the whole brit pop era. |
Yep, 90's for me too, majority of my favourite music comes from that era.
Certainly isn't this decade, which has been absolutely crap for music so far.

| It would have to be the 80s - early 90s. Most of the music out nowadays is a load of shite. Fall Out Boy is a good example of how not to be a band. It seems like the worlds lost it's creativity and art, i mean look at Marilyns Mansons masterpiece Holy Wood, and compare it to what's on shelfs now! You can't. Nobody puts any thought into their albums and themes anymore, it's sad |
System of a Down?
Queens of the Stone Age?
I would say they compare, but the Holy Wood doesn't compare to Antichrist Superstar or a real classic like Reign in Blood

Must say: GREEN DAY and U2, both have had great staying power and I have seen both in concert and would go again in a heartbeat!!!

That way we can get the best of the 60s and 70s, Beatles, Stones, Kinks, Who, Yardbirds, through to Doors, Hendrix, Cream, P.Floyd, Bowie, Roxy to name just a few.......

There was so much to love about the 90s and i'd strongly disagree with anybody who says current music is poor. There are so many bands out there that I love and couldn't possibly find time to see them all. That can't be bad.
The 80s were pretty gash apart from New Order and a couple of others.
