I recently had to compile my personal Top 10 of 2008 for a music reviews web site that I manage, and couldn't even decide on 10 albums, never mind only 1!!

If I had to choose one from this year based on how often I play it, it would be The Gutter Twins' "Saturnalia"

I'm with DH on this one. Saturnalia - The Gutter Twins is my album of the year.

I'm in two minds about this. Of the ones I have heard, I would say Viva La Vida by Coldplay. But Fall Out Boy released a new one, which I have not listened to fully yet, which sounds great. Confused

I'd also say the Fleet Foxes album was pretty great.

Hey, funny you should mention Fleet Foxes, I just finished uploading this years Best Of ..... (staff writers best of, visitors still to be done) to a music web site (americanaUK) that I manage, and they made it to the top the writers top 10 of the year (my own top 10 is in there somewhere, although it bears little resemblance to anything the web site might usually review )

Not wishing to go too off topic but... I keep wondering what it is you do? Do you write for a music magazine?

No, I am the local PONGS (Plymouth Official Naughty Girl Spanker)

But I used to be a music journalist, specialist area being Australian punk, rock, pop & alt country. I am now a lowly web designer; most of my clients are musicians, PR people, and the like. It is my job to try to make these kind of people look good on the internet; how good I make them look depends on how many coloured beads and shiny trinkets they pay me with.

End of transmission ......
