Actually also the two songs i want playing at my funeral.

Though as i am only seeing someone at the moment and if i dont get married before i die, my mum would probably insist that they play spice girls cos i liked them when i was 5. Rolling Eyes

Blimey, in that case they'll be playing Jake the Peg by Rolf Harris when I pop off!
Just tell your mam to respect your wishes, after all its *your* funeral, your wishes should be paramount. Razz

This is very true, but i dont think my mum would know who Iron Maiden were if Bruce Dickinson crash landed his 747, fully customised with the Iron Maiden Logo and Eddie on the side, the entire band climbed out and started playing "Run to the Hills" in the Garden AND had a big sign above their heads that said - WE ARE IRON FR*CKING MAIDEN!!

Embarassed

Ok, now that is a gig I'd be prepared to see them at, sounds like a show and a half. Although ideally not at your funeral. Wink

I would just like to see them live to be honest. Be it in my mums back garden with my mum asking who they were, my funeral (though i dont quite see how that would work) or generally just anywhere.

Ho Hum.

And do you reckon if you were a mega fan of any band, and you died, and your partner/parents or whoever was playing your funeral wrote to them and asked to play your all time favourite song, they would?

I'm laughing too. If DtH comes at you with anything you have a few people to hide behind.

And So It Goes – Billy Joel
(Chilcott's arrangement for the King's Singers is rather good)

Also, though not strictly a song:
Nefeli – Ludovico Einaudi
