Think that's a bit of a generalization, surely its about the individual at the end of the day and what they might want at that time in their life?....

Every one wants to love and be loved, some men just can't show it others may not be ready for it. It's no different with women, not all women know how to show thier Affections (men don't have the Monopoly on that, Trust me i know). No one wants to be alone ...Except maybe Hermits, monks, lighthouse keepers, the lone ranger, Michael jackson and my dad.

None of that make any sence does it. Sad

Actually this might be one of the most common misconceptions of our time. I think the majority of men do want love, but they want the soul-searing, supernova, irrational to the point of obsession love that has the heat of lust but burns for much much longer. When it's all calmed down to the point that their new partner wants them to go to the out of town superstore and help them choose curtains, they quite understandably get cold feet about the whole thing.

P.S. This might just be me. Evil or Very Mad

Even the lone ranger doesnt want to be alone. lol.

I find that men are no different to women when it comes to love. the thing i,ve noticed is that women can search for it more and it usually sneaks up on a man. Either way when you get the kind of person that fits with you so well its easy to start taking them forgranted. Maybe just me and my ex's. Stop the search. Use the energy for loving your friends, family and all the people in your life and it will make you the most attractive person in the world. xxxxx
P.s. I hope cause i've got a huge nose. lol

I can go along with that. I spend the early part of a relationship in denial of my feelings, in case it falls apart. Well, denial to other people, anyway. I'm honest to myself. It's a kind of self-protection mechanism. Over time, I lower my guard.

I have to disagree, as already stated perhaps it is the case when the men are teenagers or early twenties, but after that age its usually exactly what most men want, its if they admit it or not thats the question.

I've found a fair few women say they want love, though, and are after a caring, honest man (I see that in loads of womens profiles), yet when it comes down to it, they really don't.

Funny i do the same thing.

I got viciously gutted once and since then i always enter a new relationship very warily, it takes a long time for her to get any verbal sense of commitment out of me or for me to feel anything strong enough to honestly say it to her. Most of my ex's got fed up waiting on me to do or say something Confused but i guess in the end that was a good thing.

(I'm not going to bother reading the other 9 pages, I've read through half of the forum in the last week, it's gradually becomeing hard work!)

Cheers: then I'm old and/or ugly! Sad

Having said that, I've still got 6 days and 2 years before I'll accept that I'm getting old! Oops, that would mean... Oh for F*** sake... Laughing
