excuse the digression, but in your profile, you listed your appearance as "Caribbean" and you're black! all blacks are African. Go correct that and i'll be obliged to answer your question

I think its better to stay single rather than staying with a wrong man but I can't say single hood is better than being engaged if its the man you love.

???????

If research is correct the entire human race can find its evolutionary roots in Africa so by your argument we should all put African.

Wishingonastar puts her appearance as Caribbean. I would guess this is because she is, or her family is from that area. If she doesn't see herself as African then what business is it of yours or anyone else's?

I repeat. If she doesn't see herself as African then what business is it of yours or anyone else's?
The point I'm making is that labels are just boxes to put someone in and what is the point of them on a dating website? Maybe I'm not looking hard enough, but I don't see a search engine that asks for ethnic appearance.
Especially for someone who has a picture for everyone else to see what they look like. Why does she have to conform to your standards?

Back on topic.

I can say that in my opinion. I very much enjoy being single. Most of the time, but I sometimes do wish I was in a relationship - even just to be reminded what it's like!

Then again if I was in any kind of relationship at the moment I would probably say I very much enjoy that, most of the time, but sometimes I do wish I was single.

I think its a grass seems to be greener on the other side kind of predicament.

It is a definite grass is greener sort of thing. When you're single you want to be in a relationship and when you're in a relationship you want to be single again. Go figure!

Personally at the moment i would like to be in a relationship....and i know just the man Wink

I have to agree with what alot of you have said: being in a relationship is only better if it is with the right person. I really want a serious relationship and have no interest in one off's, but it has to be special. I think being with someone just for the sake of it is really dangerous. I recently dated a girl who was mad about me, and although I liked her, I could'nt see it lasting, so I called it off. Starting thing's as a freindship first would be great.
