Weirdly, I won't be needing to bother this year. My new guy is a bhuddist and doesn't celebrate anything. His birthday is Valentine's day. I might write some well meaning words down for him tho'. After all, just 'cos he doesn't celebrate, doesn't mean I can't Wink

St Valentines day is a day for contacting people you secretly admire, to let them know someone likes them. If there's no one you secretly admire then the day is a bit irrelevant to you....same as me Surprised
Unless of course you get loads of cards...I haven't had a card for years Confused

Valentines day... if your with someone it costs you a fortune, but if you're not it sucks. No one likes being reminded of the fact that they are single! Looking forward to it already Smile

It's never cost me a fortune. I always used to make a card myself (much more meaningful), get the kids in bed and cook a special meal for 2. In return, I've never expected more than an appreciative audience

Valentines day is supposed to be for singles to tell the person they fancy they love them. I have thought of something for single people to do on Valtentines Day.
1. go to a large stationary shop like WHSmiths and look for someone you fancy browseing the cards section. If you spot someone then quickly buy a Valentines card at the counter then rush back and give it to them and say this is for you. Remember to jot down your phone number inside first.

It just might work if you are lucky. If not then at least you will have tried instead of doing nothing and being miserable.
