That's exactly why I dislike mobile phones so much - and refuse to "yahoo" "msn" instant message people - ok I might be in the dark ages, but heck see my post on the mobile phone poll.
Great for them that needs it, but what happened to good old face-to-face honesty>? And REAL HUMAN COMMUNICATION????
A devoted 5 bloody years of my life to a man (and got myself into debt to furnish 'our' home) and he saw fit to use the telephone to tell me he decided to marry someone else????? He didnt have the guts to say it face-to-face???
I think chikhai somewhere on these forums hit the nail on the head about people these days need a bloody yellow smiley circle on their screens to know whether you are serious, joking or whatever....I actually hate the 21st century, one of the reasons I dont have a telly.........another bloody infringement on my intelligence telling me what to think, do, feel, how to act.....................sorry I'm rambling now.

Text messages, as most people have already said, shouldnt be used for important communications like that, if anything it shows laziness, cowardess and a lack of consideration. Anybody text me something like that i would be very underwhelmed by it and most probably ignore it.
