It's just love.

If people start attaching morals to it, I just remind myself that we're born to procreate.

You're free to make the choice to not procreate by abstaining from love, or by just using a contraceptive.

Let's put it this way - we're all going to die, so it's undeniably a good idea to enjoy every experience offered to you.

I'm indifferent on one-night-stands. Somebody who makes an excellent lover can be appalling in a relationship situation, and vice-versa.

I personally do not like one night stands!! Maybe i am just a little old fashioned when it comes to that type of thing. I have high standards and values and most of all i have some self respect all of which i would like to maintain!

That's all good, but what in your eyes is maintaining self-respect, is in my eyes just a conscious effort to refrain from certain sexual encounters.

I have no problem with people being "old fashioned" about it, but to suggest the people who do enjoy variety don't have self-respect is just silly. Self-respect comes from within, not from who you come within.

Damn that was good.

Basically it's a friend that the boy/girl will sleep with whenever they want to. It's kinda like a one night stand but they're already mates with the person and they agree that it's nothing more than just love - there's no commitment/relationship. Personally, i find it a bit odd cos it must be psychologically demanding - for me, it would be kinda like rejection on a regular basis. But then again i would never sleep with anyone i wasn't in a relationship with anyway...

The general rule of thumb is there's no emotional involvement, seeing as you're just friends. Much like people who do any activity together - love just happens to have a stigmata of relationships attached to it. Some people can't remove that attachment, some people can.

The problem is, most of the people who can't, then decide that the people who can, are weird.

The problem there is, that people have been having love for fun since the dawn of time. Vicious cycle or something.

Sorry I never called anyone weird over this whatever my thoughts are not forced on anyone, they are just that my thoughts aired on this site. There was me thinking thats what you could do. I never would try and force morals on anyone either I would not have the right to say that, but by the same token why do you think that I feel those people are weird? seems that you are deciding for me?

I did say most. You're free to air your thoughts. What isn't tolerable is the judgement people will pass on others for having one-night stands.

love is something we all have that connects us. Whether you're happy to have love with one person, or many - nobody should judge it in any way. That's my problem with the 'old fashioned' view.

I've had my fair share of ONS. They fulfilled a sexual need, nothing more. I think they have their place and provided both parties are careful, see no harm in them. What I couldn't do, is make a habit of it. There's more to life than just love Smile
