Oh and we have regulars here? Awesome. Smile I felt like I was the only one posting today.

Yeh, they don't often come to this part of the forum though.

Just to give you a quick rundown on what happens where on the forum, regulars seem to spend a lot of time playing word games in Fun and Games or crushing on one another in the Dating forum. The people with the least amount of posts to their name (usually 1) are usually found touting their sexual prowess in the Requests thread in the love forum.

Recently, there has also been a bit of willie waving in threads like The Marriage Opener. Not a very pleasant si(gh)t(e).

Welcome to the madhouse.......

What?!?!? You mean this whole time I should have been telling everyone what an amazing love god I am and how fantastic I am in bed while waving my Willy about? Dammit if only I had known lol. Smile

The only couple of things that i look for in an ideal match for a man is TALL due to my height (i'm 5'10") men dont like me taller than them when i wear my heels!

and the second is a non-smoker. (quite a few of people i have dated have smoked which i have accepted although not been keen on! its not nice kissing a smoker when you arent one) other than that i do look at what i have in front of me and accept them for what they are.

they start off nice, say they are HONEST and CARING etc, then they turn and show their true selves including dating other people and lying aobut it amongst other things.

I am an honest, caring, loving person with a lot to give but end up not receiving the respect and love i deserve.

If you are out there - please get in touch!

I don't bite!

On second thoughts, my post on the previous page about smoking doesn't make a good introduction, does it?

You know, this morning I found a profile on FB of someone who, on the surface, would suit me perfectly (not that I'm looking of course ). But she went on and on and on and on and on about a non-smoker. She is not shallow at all, she just doesn't want to be with a smoker, this is one of the things on her 'list'. If anyone on this forum tells me they don't have a list that includes at least one or two 'shallow' things (i.e. personal preferences) that they absolutely will not compromise on, I shalll start a new thread called 'Pants On Fire'

[As a smoker, I think any list that includes no-smoking is a bit of a shit list, but hey, it's not my list, they can put what they like in it Laughing Oh, completely off-topic (what's new), 4 of my dates in the past year professed to be non-smokers, but when we were together they scabbeed rollups off me - non-smokers indeed, they were just too tight to buy fags ]

****************

I dont feel hurt by your comments re smoking. But I'm not shallow at all. Ive never smoked nor stopped people from smoking - its their choice - but i choose to be with a non smoker - but cant find one! lol

i suppose you could say im shallow re height too if people think im shallow re smoking versus non smoking - in that case - i am tall and choose NOT to date a short person! I went out with a guy 5'7" once but it didnt feel right - people stared when we were out - and i didnt feel comfortable with it. it looks bad when a woman is taller than a man - but ok when the man is taller.

Thanks Bex. I tell ya I'd smoke my own socks if I had to. Still maybe it could all be an incentive to give up? Smile

They could try but not sure if they'd ever win that one. I think ppl are smoking more, and all they're doing is moving it back into the house which is not good for children. I'll give it 5 yrs.

Whoops, sorry seem to be doing a DarkHorse here and hijacking the thread!!

Just a quickie* - I hope you don’t think I was being rude! I did specifically say “She is not shallow at all, she just doesn't want to be with a smoker, this is one of the things on her 'list'.” Earlier in the thread someone JOKINGLY said that lists like that are for the more shallow amongst us, and I was trying to make a serious point that everyone has a ‘list’ that includes things that not everyone will have thought of adding to their own list (indeed points that others might feel are shallow) - elsewhere I used the examples of valid list additions such as fashion, age, education, accent, race, etc, (height is also a valid one!), although most people will deny that those kind of things are on their list, because they are worried that people will think that they are shallow.

I think it’s admirable that people do put their personal preferences on their public ‘list’, it saves an awful lot of time-wasting (and needless email ping pong Laughing ).

*When have I ever done a quickie on the forum? Except the Thought of The Day.

Feel free! I'll be abandoning the forum pretty soon I think, so it would be nice to have someone willing to put themself on the line and play the superhero role. Cape and mask optional, witty sense of humour and thorough knowledge of human species and their quirks essential. Pay is minimal, but the role is rewarding.
