of course it's alright for blokes to cry - it's all part of being human, no point in bottling it all up !

sometimes it takes alot to make me cry other times it can be just watching a film, i'm not embarassed by it and tbh anyone who thinks that blokes crying is 'lame' is erm... for want of a better word.. a pillock.

I cry - not very often, but, hey, shit happens

There is nothing wrong with a guy crying, it shows that you are human and have feelings and get emotional too. I think it can be good on occasiions as many men never cry or show their feelings, in fact there have been a few cases where I have wondered if a particular man actually has emotional feelings because they have come across as so cold. Coming from the other angle, my ex seemed to cry more than me which was a tad annoying at times because his feelings seemed to overide mine like mine didn't matter. The day he broke up with me he turned up in tears and I had to sit there and comfort him whilst he told me it was over, can't say that day was one of the best in my life.

I can see your point yeah, I suppose it's just that I associate crying with being a cry-baby. I know that it's not always true.. I mean, the last time I really cried was when my mum died, which was a fairly long time ago. I don't mind that, I mean it's understandable, but bursting into tears every five minutes is something I find really annoying. It's like women who say they are "sensitive" when all that really means is they are bloody cry-baby. It just gets so tiresome.

(Replying to the original post) Dude, you're totally right. We're human. Although popular culture and society dictates otherwise, as males, we are allowed to feel emotion. Some dudes feel emotion and block it out, for shame. It's the shame that is felt by guys that tries to ignore that emotion, which then can manifest in violence or tension. It's the shame of losing face in front of another man, falling down the social ladder... becoming the omega male. That's all. But when all is said and done, we're all gonna be worm food, so just get on with it. It's just crying, a natural bodily function which gives a release of anxiety, tension etc...

I know that some people might disagree but this is just my opinion. And dude, I think you're spot on.
