i arent normally so niave i think i got caught up in the moment sort of thing it wasnt long after i left ex and he told me what i needed to hear ,
to be honest we would have made (just)great mates cos we got on so well but he made out it was more

We all get caught up with new 'friends' we meet on the net and start chatting on msn. You start talking for hours into the night, for days and days. We've all done it, and sometimes it can get a bit saucy . Often it just peters out [with me anyway ], and all the chatting stops. But its easy for people, if they are a bit lonely, to get strung along. Unfortunately not everyone is honest and take advantage of people that might be bit lonely. Is a shame really, because they spoil it.

i'm getting to understand more and more how difficult it is for people to meet someone nice. My first thought when I read the start of this thread was oh my god she's got a little 'un and she's never even spoke to this guy and he 'doesn't mind' the kid.......with so many creeps out there and its a known fact that they use places just like this to find their targets, I was seriously worried for her!

Blimey, think I'll just remind folk of Cheeky and Kev. It's not all doom and gloom with internet dating. I met my fellah on a dating site and its nearly a year for us now, tho' I don't recommend that you ignore all the rules and advice the way that I did

As I said somewhere else, this site would work much better if there were more meet ups. On another site I go on they have meet ups somewhere in England monthly, and people put their houses at the disposal of the members of the site [mainly the regulars on the forums], and there's about 30 people sleeping in one house. Its great fun

The thing that stands out is most honest people are more attractive then their profiles and pictures portray [even me surprisingly ]. They ones that lose out are the dishonest ones. Either they don't go to the meets or get caught out if they do.

Wishful thinking
The only big sleepover one I've been to was near Manchester. I had a 6 hour train journey, then more or less straight down the pub till 2 in the morning. i was knackered, so I wasnt in a fit state anyway lol. It was still rocking when I got my head down, so not sure what went on afterwards. But most people are in there 30/40/50's, so probably not much.
Probably be going to one in January, where a women is opening her house.

They are having one in Glasgow soon, then thinking about one in Edinburgh. But they will probably involve bed & breakfasts. I'd like to go to Edinburgh for the weekend.

This site should be having things like that.
