I remember reading this a while ago when it was sent to me in an email, I printed it off a while ago and the printoff dissapeared in the general mess of my room. Found it a few days ago after a big sweep of my room and thought i would share it with you guys-its a long one! It hit a nerve with me when I read it and i agree with some of it...

"Maybe god (or a greater power) wants us to meet a few wrong people before meeting the right one, so that when we eventually meet that right person, we will know how to be grateful for that gift. just curious - you know the saying about the thing that you can never forget your first love.

well - how many do remember their true love? doesn't the loss of it lead to a bitter aftertaste? it isnt easy to forget is it?

i'd love to think that god has a plan - but to be honest, the "plan" only appears when you are head over heels. when the shit hits the fan, there is no consolation, words seem meaningless and you feel dejected.

i'd love to think there is someone out there - just waiting to be with me. that there is a one. however, is it not possible that we tell ourselves that everytime we take a dip into the game of courting someone?

i'd love to think i could plan love - but love is not to be planned. it happens and you deal with it every second of your life - even when you are not in love.

i'd love to think of many things that would not leave people shattered when it all comes down on them.

the truth here is - do the opposite of what the "game" expects you.

dont give in to early lust/wants, take it slowly
dont play guess with someone's feelings, eke them out little by little
build the trust slowly and learn to keep it stable
and most importantly - be a friend foremost, the rest will come naturally.

all you wonderful people on here - there is so much to see, so many heartaches, so many hopes and so many good thoughts.

i wish you all find the one you want.

Hits a nerve some of that coast. So true about a smile, you can be having the most miserable day and one smile from someone can change everything.
