The simple answer to this is Yes, people can be attracted in different ways, personalities are a big turn on for alot of women/men.

Also some people believe its actually in your genes as to the person you are attracted towards (strange i know).

Its very hard to fall in love with someone you ado not fancy but it can happen, especially if your friends with that particular someone. There has to be some other form of attraction though, funny guys always get lots of women, even the ugly ones.

great to see you online dan ur v missed here.....

and to answer the question... yes you can love someone you dont fancy but it will always be more of a platonic love. unless you start fancying them in time.... i have had mates in the past who i have never seen in the "fancying" way but all of a sudden i started to think of them in more of a bedroom way.

Greeting people,

I would have say yes, but that's only in the contexts that the individual was with a gathering in a social event though you don't find them attractive at first, as time passes and the layers are peal away you find that person you do truly like, then a little spark will ignite a small flame O' yes,

On the other hand if you meet the individual in passing they will be dismissed immediately and you will never know now will you.

It is completely possible to love someone who doesn't make your heart flutter. Usually I find that in that case, it's about much more than just the initial physical jolt of lust.

it depends on the love definition in your mind at that time, I had many relationships started as friendship, or protective love, sympathy love, and when I met them thought I’ll never sleep with her as time goes by and I discovered other side of her then I started fancying her and we ended being good lovers, incidentally there is a saying love is blind, and many societies have no room for fancy and first impression for their spouses, now a days I take it as it comes, never say never again. so better start slowly and find out other qualities in your companion lover .

For me, love is so much deeper than just looks. Ok, lust and sexual desire is usually hangin' around somewhere but there are a multitude of things that make you fall in love. From the simplest things like the way they walk or talk, that person makes you smile constantly. The best feeling of all is that warm, tingly sort of feeling you get when cuddled up together in front of the TV.

So yeah, i think you can fall in love without fancying someone because it happens over a longer period of time. At first, you may not physically fancy them much but as time goes on and you fall deeper in love, that person becomes more attractive in a much deeper way.

Ah the in love vrse love thing

I usually go though the 'in love' to get to the love bit...

(implicitly when I say love I mean non-sexual/not fancying)

I've not experianced the love -> 'in love'
