I've reached that point in life when I increasingly find that 'I can't be arsed' Confused

I've had enough disappointments in relationships to not be arsed to put any effort into starting any new ones.
I've realised that it doesn't matter how much you 'do your best' at work that it goes unnoticed or unpraised unless 'your face fits' so why should i bother to be arsed?
I've forced myself to go to enough 'parties' that I knew I wouldn't enjoy to know to avoid being arsed to go to any more, ever Laughing
So here's the question - is 'I can't be arsed' a good enough reason to honestly give to people when I really can't be arsed?

Or am I just a bit grumpy tonight, hahahaha Confused

It's as good a reason as any.. at least you're being honest about it.

Don't worry about relationships. Life's too short to worry about them.

As my mate always says, 'you only have yourself and your knob to worry about'

I am well known for my honesty, and the phrase 'I can't be arsed' from my lips wouldn't surprise very many people that I know

I wonder if its an age thing? Cause i'm getting more and more like that these days.

Can i really be arsed to fight my way through the crowds in town on a Saturday night? NO

Can i be arsed plastering make up on my face and wearing something slightly revealing just in the hope that someone might notice me?
NO

Its too much like hard work rally isn't it??

Although (as I said earlier) I can't be arsed some of the time, when I *can* be arsed, the results are spectacular

There's still time to tell 'em that you can't be arsed.

say you can't be arsed in a nice way though, last thing you want is for them to think you're giving them cheek.

When asked why I hadn't done something at work I replied 'I couldn't be arsed'. I got away with it that time because they were surprised by my honesty, not sure I would again tho' Very Happy

I think it's definitely an age thing.

"I wonder if its an age thing?" ----- well Bex, Red, maybe it is, and it's most likely because as we age we gain wisdom and experience, so are better able to determine when something is going to take more effort and energy than any enjoyment you might get from doing it.

"As soon as i came to this point in life somebody walked into my life. Funny how it works when you dont give a shit all of a sudden things happen." ----- Maybe you're right Samenoname, i'll let you all know if/when it happens to me, hahaha

Our 'Head of department' big boss at work leaves this week, she's a scheming bitch who few people like so we're all pretty glad to see her go, and today is her last day. Usually, on a last day everyone goes to lunch somewhere, and I so couldn't be arsed to go along that a couple of weeks ago I booked today off!
Oddly, about half the office are off today too for various reasons (all made-up of course) so looks like 'cantbearsedness' is quite common.

At least I can be arsed to post on here Laughing

Do you think we're all becoming lazy then? And should we make more effort in what we do, not just in the romance stakes?
