First off, if he hasn't done anything but talk, then it isn't really cheating. Although it IS inappropriate.

Is there something that he wants that you aren't giving to him? He shouldn't resort to making you feel inadequate by talking to someone else sexually, but if you want it to last, you should ask him.

I hope that you sort things out.

I hope that he isn't cheating, that can be very hard.

Deception is him telling you that he can't be trusted.

be careful

I'd disagree with that, sure sounds like cheating to me.

Do you mean he is speaking to one of those rude phone chat lines??..then he isnt cheating as such. But we dont know other things he is doing, but just chatting on the phone is not really chatting. Although I can see a lot of men not being happy if their women was doing it Surprised

Young men do have high love drives, and often have to relieve themselves. Maybe there is something lacking

... sounds a bit gay to me... but you're not paranoid you just caught him out so you really need to be talking to him about all those intimate issues

If there's no other women [or man ] involved, sounds like a bit of a storm in a teacup to me. Sounds like a young man with an ever present erection, and I know a few women on these type sites that would like one of those

Talking isn't cheating, it is talking about cheating.

It is still dishonest, and might be a precursor to doing more. She needs to talk to him about it.

I still disagree with you.

WOW, you are very well spoken to have such a reasoned argument.

I am convinced now.

WHY do you disagree?

It is decieptful, but cheating is NOT talking. You can TALK/THINK/WISH/EXPRESS all you want but unless you lay your hands on another person or engage in a real sexual act with them, it is not cheating. It IS however betrayal of trust.

I think that we can agree on that.

If you think that is cheating.

Is masturbating to porn cheating?
How about going to a peep show?
Getting a lap dance?
Flirting?
Being in a hot tub with a topless girl (nothing sexual)?
How about calling a love chat line?

Just looking to see what "cheating" is.
How

I think the message starting this thread was completely made up! But anyway, to go along with it (for the utterly perverted exercise): if a man is getting a semi-hard-on watching Martin Clunes' ears flapping in the wind, then that possibly explains why there's severely extraordinary behaviour afoot in this relationship... or maybe in the boyfriend's trouser department, half a foot. Even if I were gay, which I'm not, the thought of Martin Clunes' red, rubbery, blubberous lips slobbering all over my ring-piece and jelly-roll would probably drain the life out of any appendage attached to my body - possibly out of any appendage attached to anyone else's body I know too - even those of family pets. So my advice is: put a coat hanger in his semi-hard appendage, to help to firm it up and give it some shape; then, buy a trout in memory of Lesley Ash's lips. You may still have a crap relationship afterwards, but hey... at least it'll make life more interesting and - at the very least - profit fish mongery and support our fishing industry (and possibly even the haberdashery industry too).

It depends on who he is chatting too on the phone. if its a love chat line then its not cheating. But if its a girl he knows then it is cheating cause he shouldnt be doing love stuff with someone he knows if he is in a relationship. He probably wasnt watching the tv cause he was to busy on the phone. He got caught in the act so said he was watching tv to wiggle out of it. If he was chatting to someone he knows it means he is having love with them or plans on doing it soon.
