When "on the pull" so it were, i tend to go for fit blonds or red red heads lol...

but as im quite fat, it would be hypocritical to segregate chubbier women, ive got a couple of "larger" women as mates, good fun to hang about with and really nice faces and eyes i could see my self having a relationship with one of them...if she was single Razz

err...waffle waffle waffle...in other words dosnt bother me, i tend to look at the inner person...no luck over here yet though.

Very good lads, but that doesn't answer the question...

if you saw the word obese on my profile before you knew me, would you take the time to get to know me?

Thing is, we all get to fill in our own profiles (an exception to anyone that has been forced here by a friend/enemy or has no fingers and has hired help to type for them). We create our profiles as we see ourselves, which might not be how others see us.

I do believe that either love would be put off by the word obese and this is about perception of what the word means. What is the shame is that someone may see themselves as obese, in the perverted sense of the word, even if they are not and due to this may remain lonely because it.

Which is exactly the point I'm trying to make Choochy. Obese is a purely a benchmark whereby a persons weight becomes a possible risk to that person. I AM obese. My weight is unhealthy for me but nobody, me included, is ever going to put that on a profile for fear of putting someone off. Yet, put 'curvy' and suddenly you look totally different in a potential suitors eyes.

Another thing that can make a difference where getting a guy is concerned, quite a few have a rough idea of womens dress sizes so if a woman mentions that they're a 20, or god forbid even bigger and quite a few aren't keen, but mention that you're a 38E (that's me), and their eyes are popping out of their heads. It doesn't occur to them the rest of the measurements will fit to match.

As you said Choochy, it's all a matter of perception (and clever wording Wink )

So this really comes down to linguistic devices and a sort of seld-marketing. The thing is its really up to you to sell yourself. Just using 'big and beautiful' instead of 'overweight' puts a positive edge on it. The two mean roughly the same thing but the former has a positive ring to it.
I bet most small people call themselves 'very slim' or 'petite' not 'scrawny' or 'weedy'. It's daft that we humans are so vulnerable to these little tricks, but in a way its good because a positive angle can be put on most things too.
