Ok here is my question...

Would guys rather go for a stunning slim trophey girlfriend to show off to their mates, but she happens to have no personality. Or would they rather have a curvy, cuddly gorgeous girl who has the best personality in the world??

In my own opinion and no offence to any guys on here but "most" of the guys I know only want thin attractive girls to show off to their mates. It's all about competition. For example I know this one guy, he is gorgeous, toned, awesome lad who plays rugby. Him and his mates go out and about around Leeds and he pulls what lads would call "FIT" birds to flaunt off to his mtes, but when he is out with his brother or me and my friends he goes for Curvy girls who look amazing. I question him about it saying why and his reply was "I don't want my mates laughing at me, I love big girls, but my mates would diss me for it". To me that is sick. You should never go for someone because of your mates. You should go for someone who you see yourself being happy with. Don't care what people think!

Its mainly down to how you feel about the person. You might initially be attracted to one type of body shape but is one factor only in a realtionship after all.

I find its best to keep a fairly open mind - and I find curves attractive in any case up to a point (above size 18 would be the point I guess though depends on height to some extent).

Don't read in to much to what the media say. Their job is not to keep the public informed, spread information or even help others. They're are all businesses trying to shift papers, get viewers, and readers. They do this best by walking a tightrope which a few occasionally fall spectacularly the wrong side off. To sell they need to generate debate, or aim at Mr & Mrs Average.

The cheeseyest (sp?) response to this sort of debate is who ever you are or look like some one somewhere would have the hots for you.

Myself? I find myself attracted to fitter rather than fat girls, but my definition of fat would be more like people who spread over into adjacent seats on the train! I'd love to have a girlfriend who would be able to go light hiking, perhaps cycling etc so someone who looks like they'd really struggle (and again I'm not foolish enough to think this means a few extra pounds) would be less attractive.

Equally I'm not attracted to the stick thin, massive fake boobs, and nails that look like they'd freak at the thought of helping out painting the walls, or helping out with some hard graft DIY. I also feel a realtionship with a mega fit girl could be difficult as there are many other things that I enjoy apart from things which could be described as 'fitness persuits'.

...but hey, at the end of the day I'm just on the look out for a girl with a great personality, whose company I'd never tire of, and most importantly who feels the same about me.

It is only in the last 40 years that society has dictated that woman should be thin. For hundreds of years previously curves were the object of beauty. I'm with Rubens (and every other painetr of the Rennaisance) and I think that a woman is more beautiful with curves.

big people dont get a look in with skinny girls,im not saying i want to its how its seams round my age,im not overly fat but dont get a look in with girls round here oh well
