I think it’s very difficult for some people to come and be totally honest on the open forums about who they like. It’s all very well admitting who you really want to be with but the biggest fear for people doing that is the rejection factor (for me anyway). There are a number of women on here that I think I would be compatible with but I wouldn’t go out and say it on the forums, I think its best left to messaging privately and building something more that way. I think some clues as who would be compatible come from all the flirting that goes on!

Also you need to define the term 'relationship'
A person can have relationships of different types with all kinds of people. Friends, family, work colleagues, the person who's always behind the bar at the local.
The term relationship is an all encompassing one.
Even narrowing it down to a personal relationship does not make it much clearer. I have personal relationships with many people, it doesn't mean that they have been sexual or will ever be.
Once one person begins to interact with another a relationship is developed. What level of relationship are we looking at here? because on a small level we are all in relationships with each other already.

My post was refering to relationships beyond just forums, so boyfriend/girlfriend! Rejection from the possibility of that it the ultimate fear for people I think.

It may be simple and obvious to you. You have asked the question, but we don't all think a-like (thank god, if everyone thought like me I would have topped myself by now).
I doubt (but cannot confirm as I am only speaking for myself) that anyone is insulted by this thread. All I say it is not a simple question because it can be interpreted in many ways which makes me loathe to answer it as it will be interpreted by what the reader believes the answer means and this could be completely different to how it is intended.
