I don't want to get overly-serious but we seem to have two definitions of 'beautiful' here. Can 'big' people be beautiful? Of course they can, it's about who you are and what you do. Can 'big' people be physically beautiful? Well, yes - curves can be very beautiful.

If 'big' means 'very overweight', though, then no, that's not physically beautiful. But why get hung up about it? Too many of us waste time worrying about being something we're not. They can either do something about it or make the most of who they are, it doesn't mean they're any less of a person. Anyway, from what I can see, there's plenty of miserable thin people about. Happiness doesn't tend to lie in trying to conform to other people's ideals.

I think that if you're beautiful, you're beautiful. size doesn't come into it. Of course, some people can and do look better with a little less or more meat on them. Sophie dahl, for instance, was stunning when she was bigger and is still stunning now. Dawn French is definately big and beautiful and it wouldn't suit her to be thin. I personally think that your personality has alot to do with your attractiveness, whether you're a size 8 or 18.

i kinda agree with a few people here, big can be beautiful if they are in proportion ... kind of think diana dors etc the proper hour glass figure not how they call someone who is a size 8 curvy and hourglass now ... these women had big boobs big bums curvy hips and little pot bellies and my god they were beautiful

but on the other hand someone can have a beautiful face but be too big for their frame and they struggle, they cant walk far, get out of breath etc and then there is the strain on the heart ... i mean i am gonna be blunt what is beautiful about someone who is sweaty wheezing/out of breath and bright red from walking less than a hundred metres up the road

however you need to be beautiful on the inside too as you can be the most aesthetically pleasing person in the world but if you are ugly on the inside then you are ugly all over, this applies to all people fat or thin

i am big and i dont like how i look but i have only myself to blame ... i think i will be more attractive when i am smaller so i go to slimming world so ir eckon yes big can be beautiful but its more to what we are conditioned to think of as big in todays society, to me a size 14 isnt big, to others it is practically obese ... it also depends on culture too ... in some parts of the world being big is a sign of attractivness and prosperity and the big ladies have the most husbands

can anyone see what i am getting at as i am sure i had a point but may have lost myself
