I've found that you and the ex can be comfortable around each other but your mutual friends can somtimes find it hard to determine how they should react to the situation.

i still talk with a couple of my ex's.. one more so because she's the mother of my son, the other i don't know why - she took the piss big time and caused me lots of grief, but i still talk to her

Yeah I think its possible, only if you both have forgiven and forgotten the past.Though, I must say that it hurts like hell if you are still single and he or she has met someone.

if you try to be friends to soon before getting over the pain,then it is very hard to see him or her with someone new. That is why time apart is good until the time is right.

I better not since it may end up with suspicious thoughts in my present beau's mind.

My ex want's to be freind's with me, but I'm pretty sure she want's more. We tried to be freind's before, and she gave me load's of greif about going with her again, big row. The problem is I do like her, I just cant see a relationship working, and I find it difficult to tell her to leave me alone.

Then tell her nicely to bugger off nicely while you parade a new bit of staff down the street, pinching her arse as your ex walks behind! lol
