Hey boys and girls,

OK, i've been browsing this site for a few weeks now, trying to get the feel for it, if you know what i mean.

Im a polite, down to earth, regular guy with a wicked sense of humour, and have on more than one occasion introduced myself or attempted to break the ice with girls on here that may have caught my attention.... and... well... i find that 99% of the time i simply get IGNORED!! (i feel stupid saying this)

I do not hassle. I am never rude. Or pushy. There are never any strings attached and my intentions are always honourable (maybe thats the problem?)...Really i just want to make some new friends in this great big cyberspace. So whats the deal?

Anyone out there know the secrets to breaking the ice? (lol, this is where i get told to replace my photo with that of some hunky beach god)

Ladies, do you fancy giving us guys (OR JUST ME LMAO) tips on that all important first message.

Anyone want to volunteer and i can practice on you? lol.

Is it ruder to tell someone to sod off... or ignore them altogether?? Personally... id rather be told to sod off.... thats far more polite in my opinion.

Saying that, i have recieved a message from a fake Russian. Nice. What a confidence boost. Lmao. I think im going to Marry her.

Hiya spacemonkey29 there's a few threads on this subject as it's not unusual for people not to get messages. Sadly if you're a guy then you have to work harder as there are plenty more men to every woman on here. Some of the popular girls say they get too many messages to answer them all, so unless something grabs them and makes the messager stand out, then may be you'll get overlooked.
All that said, conming onto the forums will raises your profile and you'll be likely to pick up a few friends and some useful advice.

........everybody else does haha!!See this one I got today.......

The reason I sent you an e-mail in the first place was to try and find out if this site actually did work and as I got a reply from you it obviously is a genuine siteI did not have any intentions of meeting up with you

hi, going back to space monkey, i personally prefer invisable boy, a little more down to earth, but also a little honest about how your feeling,
would you talk to a self confessed space monkey?/

seriously mind practice on me, god knows i cant wait to get past this 'i am nervous about what to say or how to start a message thing' and be able to relax be me and enjoy the overwhelming sense of humour things on here Smile
