No what your quoting seems a load of bollox to me. Has your so called "direct approach" had much success.
Through my direct approach though I have managed to get to meet a large number of women. Women I would never otherwise have met. Infact if I hadn't made the effort to go out and approach women then for the past few years I wouldn't have met any new women at all!

How are people supposed to meet new partners if they always keep themselves to themselves and don't make an effort to meet new people???

There have been loads of times I've felt like giving up on finding someone but for some reason my heart dosent want to give up. I met my last girlfriend just as I was giving up hope on finding someone full stop. Ok it didnt last but it proves that all hope is not lost.
I found that having a few hobbies and pastimes to fall back on to stop thinking about things really helps me to stop giving up.
Anyway giving up is for quitters-just dust yourself down, take it slowly and get back on it!

It sounds like you know what you need to do really Smile

keep speaking to people, keep putting yourself out there, keep positive, and don't forget to spend time in areas of your life other than love, to give yourself balance, and maybe recover if you need, but I would say lay low but stay in the loop

I have officially given up. Had yet another disappointment this week. A friend at work said that he would like to go out with me, got his friend to suss out if I would, i said I would go out with him, next thing he mails my friend to say that he is happy in a relationship, despite saying he wants to go out with me!! W.T.F. is that all about??? am very confused now about men altogether, so i have officially given up on all of them Sad

Don't think I'll ever give up - in the middle of a messy divorce right now where I'm being shit on from a massive height and I'd STILL really like to meet someone new.

I should be right off women for life right now really......

Yeah, I know the feeling. I like my cuddles too much to give up that easily

I think i'll give up today. Today seems like a good day for giving up.

Or maybe i'll wait until after the B'ham meet and then i'll give up. A bit like Lent really.

I would like a proper cuddle from a man, not just a mate, but a man, who really wants to hold me. But i'm not getting any cuddles so today is a good day for giving up.

I could probably be persuaded not to give up, by the right person of course.

Never ever give up, although if you're desperate this is a bad vibe, so chill and it'll happen!
