I don't think age is an issue, nor the generation unless you make it an issue and to be honest there are more important things to worry about.

My last boyfriend was seven years older than me, but acted seven years younger most of the time!

i can't see why there would be a problem with the age gap, yes the 'typical' relationship is that the man is older than the woman, but i know a few people who's wives are older than they are and they seem to be alot more of a 'solid' couple if that makes sense ?
