Hey there. Well I am very new and have finally got up the courage/curiosity to get on a gay site. But I don't want to just get stuck here. So how did everyone get started with meeting other gay gals? If I lived near some of my gay male friends it would be easier as I could go out with them to bars/clubs etc. However I don't know any other gay friends of my age in my area (Portsmouth) and although I know there are a couple of bars here I am a bit nervous about heading there on my own. Any suggestions? Funny storys about how people "got out there"?!

hi I am scorpio. I have never used a site like this and i live in basingstoke.

I used to live up in staffordshire when i first came out and as i was at uni they had an LGBT club who regularly went to the local scene, and i loved it. however since moving to basingstoke in hampshire in 2002 I have been unable to find any clubs and groups in my area, so i don't know anyone gay and have very few friends down here. I found this site from my Diva as i get it sent to my door. so hi everyone, anyone out there from Hants, portsmouth or nrby ?

I just want to find other girls out there as i feel v isolated as my car was written off march 2004, and i cant use public transport, so have to rely on taxis, hence unless someone can give me a clue where to go to meet other peeps like me i'm stuck in my house, with only places like this to meet and make new friends. As i haven't been out that long I have never had a girlfriend and would seriously ( or not too seriously like to try this whole dating thing now, but haven't a clue where to go or how to go about it.

when all my friends where going out with boys at school and uni, i had serious health issues, so was in and out of hosp and had no interest in the topic, now i do, my few friends i would talk to, have no idea how to advise me as they learned to flirt as teenagers and i haven't a clue. I make friends easily and i am very outgoing and rather crazy, but if i meet someone i like i turn into a tougue tied idiot, turn red and cant talk to them. how do i learn how to flirt?
