The website is supposed to stay free - but would you mind to pay a small fee in order to be verified as a female if it is only 1 or 5 pounds (depending on the credit card charges). This way the credit card details could be checked to make sure it is a female person. Of course, in theory, someone could pay with someone else's credit card - but it would make it a lot harder and additionally it would be a crime to do so.

What are your thoughts?

a lot of people dont have credit cards. i didn't have one until a couple of months ago. and it's not really a credit card it's a debit card. still, there are a lot who dont have anything.

one thing i always do when i add someone to msn is turn my cam on for a couple mins just so they know i am me.

i think perhaps if there was a tesitmonials part where people could verify you are who you say you are...? although that would be as easy to get around as the credit card.

i dont think there is a fullproof way to make sure you know exactly who you are talking to. and trust is sometimes stretched to the max on the net.

i think we should each take pictures with ourselves holding a sign with our screen name on. make sure it is hand written and easy to read, it is very hard to try and fake handwritten signs on photoshop or something. i will do mine now!

Most of us have have webcams now and it takes two seconds to flick it on and see who you are talking to.

I agree with the sign thing. I don't have a credit card and my dad forbade me to chat with web cam.

it's a nightmare! when i chat to someone i like to know that i'm chatting to a girl before i send sexy pics etc but when i ask they say they feel too pressured and leave. so what am i supposed to do, i don't want to send my pics to just anyone! x x x

I agree it's hard to decide who's fake or not these days, just registered on this site and even saying I'm lesbian and bi, every guy thinks its his right to browse my profile, at least 37 of them so far and only 12 girls have seen me. thats not fair cant we just ban guys from visiting my profile?

I used to think (on other sites) that cam on cam was a great idea - until I found out that one woman had her husband and his 2 mates 'off camera' getting off on what I thought was a genuinely private cam chat. Ewkkk.

louiseuk -> it's not our fault; as if we "Browse Pictures" it shows all women despite their sexual preference. It even shows the ones registered on Girlsweb.
