As I have a whole lot of time on my hands lately I’m thinking about take short break in the UK. I’ve always liked the look of Scotland so I’m thinking that would be a good start.

It terms of getting around I will either drive from London or fly and rent a car, so I have given myself two options of places to visit, Loch Lomond or Loch Leven, at the moment Loch Leven is the favourite as it seems to be a nice size to explore.

As I will be alone (ladies who want to tag along may apply!) I’m not going to go hardcore and do super long walks/overnight camps. I’m mainly wanting to hit up some nice walking trails for day before returning to a nice warm bed in the evening. I’m hoping to stay for at least two nights in the first week of July.

So I need recommendations for walking trails and nice (4*+) hotels to stay in, oh and which is better Lomond or Leven?

I agree with Cazz Chet, I'd recommend Loch Lomond.

I do indeed Cazabee, however those midges in Scotland rival the size of any blood sucking wnged beasties you might find in the tropics.... they do more damage too
