Right..I shall be going to Cornwall (Looe) for a weekend, (well..arriving on the friday evening and midday monday..)
Does anybody know if there are any places to go during the day?
I will be going by car(with my friend driving as I can't drive
) so we are willing to travel a few miles if you think something would be worth it!

Hello
It depends what your looking for, Plymouth isn't far down the coast and there is a lovely beech not far either to walk along..at Freathy or hiking along the south coastal path to the west.
Plenty of other attractions not far from there as well, but that depends on what you like to do.

Ah yes..I forgot details like that!
I like most historical things..Museums, historical sites and so on, can pretty much be anything and I'd be interested!
I keep an open mind about things, so...any suggestions are welcome
Would be nice to do something different, I guess.

Well you could try the carnglave Caverns just outside Liskeard or the stone circles that are just north of Liskeard (just south of the bodmin moors)
Local OS maps will give you more detail I suppose. Unfortunately the Tin mines are further west and south than where your staying, but by car they aren't that far away.
I went down the Poldark Mine when I was last down that neck of the woods...it was rather interesting.
The Wheal Martyn Herritage centre is just north of ST Austell thats worth a visit too.
Whatever you decide I'm sure you will love Cornwall its a laid back but rugged place off the beaten track...hope you have a good weekend anyway
