regarding BB...

do you think racial stuff has been said?
is it all been blown out of proportion?
does BB really reflect society today?

i think jade matsherface is just ignorant to her own behaviour and how it affects other people, i dont think she is racist but calling a indian a popadom is asking for trouble, it was clearly an attempt to get a cheap laugh so she deserves all she gets for it in my opinion.

I never watch it but it is my understanding that contestants are chosen specifically with conflict in mind.
If you had ordinary Brits the conversation would be more like:
"Sorry, I stepped on your toe. I'm sorry."
"No, I'm sorry. I wasn't looking where I was standing."
"Well, I hope is doesn't hurt. Again, I'm really sorry."
"Don't worry, it was nothing. I needed to see the doctor anyway."
and so on...
Now, who wants to see that? Confused

I dont watch it, becasue its s***..but from what Ive heard, which isnt much - to me it seems to be not overt racism but more of a total ignorance of other cultures. BUt isnt this exaclty why BB put f**wit Goody in there anyway? Knowing how pig s*** ignorant and mentally retarded she is then add an Asian woman into the mix - however could just as easily be someone from China, Japan etc doesnt matter - they know that JG would say some dense stuff, thereby creating a massive uproar and boosting ratings. Its very clever.

I agree - programmes like Big Brother thrive on peoples insecurities and rely on conflict to secure them the ratings the programme wouldn't otherwise achieve. While Jade hasn't been portrayed in the most positive light, it seems to me that she has been used as the scapegoat.

Also - I wish it was true that people in the 'real world' had manners. The last time someone stepped on my foot they sneered at me as if it was my fault!! "Oh, sorry my foot got in your way..."
