my laptop is driving me mad and im not the only one takes ages to boot up all the crap it need to go pink. well everyone IT'S PAYBACK TIME FOLKS! so i start i m going to get my laptop put it in a plantpot and put a load of snowdrop bulbs in it and soil and thing the bloody bulbs will grow faster than the time this lump of crap take to load up..... Cool

Nothing would make me feel any better than if it worked properly again...... cos if I kicked or threw it I won't even be able to do anything on here!! So some communication is better than none!

oh yeah, as you said like 5 min after i finally removed myself from the forum surfing computer turned off the film playing computer and sat in front of the work computer (and this is literal which goes to show...) and now ive got 3 more assignments... but ones programming so more of a reward for after i finish the essays...

They never delete the old DLL files, inf files and loads more so they tend to clutter the system and really slow it down. Especially since Windows keeps insisting on loading DLL's into memory for no real reason.

The only real cure is a total, clean re-install of Windows, formatting the hard disk in the process.

If my main pc worked I would do that, but atm it's my only link and is just about usable so I daren't have it out of action for re-installation

well i accentally 'uhem' spilt wine on mine, it was covered on my insurance, and bobsyeruncle iv got a brand new dell lappy, in pink of course! thats how i handled it anyway Twisted Evil

you got a whole new model? when my exfriend borrowed it and split carlsberg over it i only got a keyboard which i had to replace myself (so the replacing was hardly an issue but its the principle :O...) i prob would have fixed the old one but it was a fortnight after the spill that i discovered my laptop with half the keys removed :S
