Hey, women play Video Games too. I know a few girls who play UT, it's a great stress relief.

UT2004 is pretty good. Personally, I always liked the original battlefield games more - BF1942, BFVietnam etc.

Although i've always had a fond place for UT GOTY, we had massive LAN games with all kinds of mods... Defence Alliance anyone? Hell yeah.

I dunno, that title was a bit of a disappointment for me.

The game was perfect besides it's simplicity. The engine, which was out-of-date by 5 years by it's time of release is still one of the most powerful engines on the planet. And that was years ago.

It was fun, ran well on any system - no matter what end. Had a decent selection of weapons, has a mod community that is unrivalled (garry's mod is sublime) and even the incredibly annoying "Steam" has led to some brilliant distributable content.

But of course, it's all a matter of opinion. It certainly didn't do anything too new (except the wonderful physics) and the graphics are obviously directly proportional to your system.

It's quite possibly the best "all-round" shooter ever though - CounterStrike as it's multiplayer component simply tops it off Smile

If you do happen to check out UT2004 I'd heartily recomend the TO:Crossfire mod (http://www.to-crossfire.net)...mostly because I am part of the team that made it Wink

Just make sure you never, ever play World of warcraft, that game swallows lives
