Pick a famous person and give 2 or three useful hints!

No limits towards what time the person lived in or what they are or have been famous for.

But it should be somebody that is not only locally known, for example the mayor of Peterborough.

If the game stucks you can give more hints. And questions are allowed.

The person who knows the answer is next!

I start with the following clues:

1. A popular fallacy is that this person is German, in fact he/she/it is Austrian

2. This person probably had a closer relationship to his dogs but to his spouse (no, not my great-grandmother)

Hmmm, to be accurate, he died at Cedars Sinai Medical Center, where he was officially pronounced dead at 1.51am, although he went into cardiac arrest on the pavement outside The Viper Room at 1.14am, after 8 minutes of seizures.

And just to show that I am overly-pedantic stickler for accuracy, he was wearing 'striped brown pants and black and white Converse high tops (size 10 1/2)'. Nobody seems to remember what colour shirt he was wearing as it was covered in vomit, and was removed (and subsequently lost) when the paramedics arrived to administer CPR.

A blue-blooded person

Reigned over seven decades

Sorry, is it 7 decades, or over 7 decades?

I thought it must be Queen Victoria, but her reign was only 63 years, 7 months and 2 days

Well it is one of these. I guess you need another clue to find the answer and you get this one:

His mother waited quite a while for her first born...

Louis XIV
