The banjo was a poor man twix, waffer instead of shortbread.

Really nice and chewy

SILENCE!!! Banjo was far superior to Twix, for one thing it didn't have caramel in it... and it had peanuts it.. so err it wasn't really much like a Twix at all. Razz

Banjo description A chocolate covered wafer finger biscuit with chocolate cream and caramel layers. Fairly broad and long."I'm not sure, but I think that a Banjo used to have crushed nuts on them, either under the chocolate on the top or in the wafers.

For me it's gotta be cuban candies forever. Now I don't know what the "cuban" thing they put in them was, but I loved them lots as a kid. They probably still make them in Cuba. Maybe someday we'll meet again, my sweets.
