From what I can see both sides of the fence seem to be thinking of themselves as separate entities. Maybe they are, but it doesnt have to be turned into a "them and us war" does it?

Should probably just let the chat room/forum fracas drop now and concentrate on getting mods in place, regardless as to wether or not we think which group is more mature than the other or more interesting.

You are right Scottie! But any division becomes worse the longer that it is allowed to fester! REspect and manners come to mind mate! A let off steam thread could take away any resentment felt and take the impetuous away from bad feelings. New Mods should be the 1st step! Let's avoid pushing people out! Yes it does happen!

The main problem is that the chatrooms due to their very nature have to be monitored almost permanently while the forums can be skimmed as and when posts are made.

This means that one person cannot realistically do both even considering the limited number of posts on the forums lately. If the forums become busier, this will become even more of a problem.
