If a previously banned member comes back on the forums under another name, can they not be detected in anyway ?????? and then banned again ????? I know this use to happen 'back in the day', just wondering why it no longer happens .........

It's arguable whether a Flirtbox ban should be an automatic life sentence in every instance. If somebody returns and behaves themself, there should be no problem. If they don't, they should just get kicked off again. You'll never stop a determined idiot on the internet, unfortunately.
My other concern is about fairness and consistency. Punishment (or lack of) sometimes appears to be based on who you are and who you know, rather than on what you've actually said. Just as one example, I logged on to FB with a temporary profile ('Haywain') a month or two ago to complain about a popular regular who was being repeatedly abusive to young women. For my pains, I had my profile deleted. Strange justice indeed...
...I didn't want to dredge this argument up again, but it concerns me that some people cannot abide being on the receiving end of abuse, but are happy to condone it (or try to sweep it under the carpet) when one of their friends is dishing it out to others.

I have a feeling there are a lot of banned members..... either reading the forums or actually posting here, under another name...
Don't know why they can't just be honest though....
...it looks like they don't miss any opportunities either

It's something to be taken up with Toby on all accounts and i'm doing just that pretty soon.
However, as has happened many times in the past, people just create profiles to come on and cause trouble or complain about something they actually know nothing about (but think they do). If people came on and made constructive comments on other parts of the forum then maybe they wouldnt be seen as troublemakers and have profiles deleted. Or as Kizz has stated if they do come back, a bit of honesty wouldn't go amiss. Everybody has their axe to grind, it's the way people go about it thats the problem. I have only ever seen a lifetime ban once and if they do come back under another profile then it doesnt normally take long to sniff them out and make sure they are removed again.

..you make some good observations, running sites like these does however leave the owner having to depend on other peoples jurish prudence at times,it's perfectly easy to dismiss the vile and threatening, the professional sleaze of course conceals himself a good deal better,as the perverts in life do,this aspect of behavior is even keenly encouraged amongst some admins, who themselves masquerade as "decent", admins, often, sadly are people who like those in real life, who love the costume of authority, and quite rightly often denied such, not always blessed with the sharpest of minds, given to pettiness and downright unfairness, this however is not the owners fault,it's a free Internet site after all, and given to human characteristics, the kind of people site owners want to assist them running the site just cannot be fucked with the minutiae of indolent chatter and trivia that much administration entails..this missive doubtless be corrected, with a trumpeting reassurance to the cadre of floorwalkers subscribed to clean up around here.
As for being banned, not happened ...yet,only a matter of time, if their is one thing the average admin detests more than anything..it's intelligence.

..being a clairvoyant must be an enormous advantage in life if you want to be spectacularly wrong, and perhaps they are being honest and you just don't recognize that at times, maybe the crystal ball obscures viability...all those maybe's eh...lol..

Oh..so having a feeling about something.....amounts to me being classed as clairvoyant.
