1) It would be nice to see a better "who's online" system than having to go through all the tabs.

2) a better search system

3) uploading and displaying (on profile) a photo or more than one photo can be a bit confusing and frustrating.

4) I think the "who can visit your profile" should be improved to be more efficient

5) Editing and saving can be difficult or impossible

I'd like to be able to pull up a whole conversation with somebody in the message boxes, if I've had a lot of mail somebody's next message may be pages away from their last one and tbh I can't always remember who they are.

And I've not had that problem Mirrorpool but if you go to the old style for the site and view the messages there, if you select "inbox 2" then it does show them like that. Very Happy

Where do I find "in box 2" ?
Glad to know how to get the onliners in list form though. Thanks for that.

I used to like it when the forums had a little box to tick at the bottom of each post so you could send a private message to somebody.

Why can't the features from the 'old style' be incorporated into this 'new style'? Confused

And (as many have said in other threads), the 'search' needs a massive overhaul.

(not the 'search' in this forum, but on the main site http://www.flirtbox.co.uk/ which only appears to have the 'gallery' that gives you any chance of narrowing the search down, or expanding it!)

The search seems to have disappeared but you can do this: on main dating site go to bottom of page...

Then the locations will show:

click on your desired location & this will give you an option to search:

Hope that helps a little

Very Happy

I said this before but i am going to say it again because it bothers me a bit. I think the whole site was better before it had this "makeover" to make the forums and dating site look as if they were all one website. In my eyes, they already were anyway.

To improve this website I think it would be good to;

Ditch the skin/theme whatever you want to call it and and have the forums back as they were, a proper phpbb site.

Improve flirt features on the main site...does the "do you want to meet me" button actually work anymore?

Why not have a proper flirt button which sends a note to the user that somebody likes their profile?

Guest books are an ok idea, but why not have a notification for when you receive a guest book entry?

The messaging system is crap, you cannot format text for paragraphs or anything so it looks a mess if you send something longer than one paragraph!

Having the website URL across the photos right slap bang in the middle covering peoples eyes! That has always annoyed me, cant you move it down a bit? I know people can opt out of having it on new pics they upload but still, most of them already on here have their eyes covered by it, yet eyes are the most important part of a photo eh?

there have already been suggestions to improve the search function, but I really can't emphasise this enough IMO. We need a search button on the main site (there are the galleries, I know, but I want to look up women, from a given area, with a given sexuality who are online. I am fed up of finding pages of 40 + year old females who haven't logged in to the site for a year and don't even like men! I'm sure someone who is gay or lesbian would agree that this should be an option.) When you try the 'date by town' function at the bottom of the page, all you get is 3 or 4 results for a given search and when you try the next page, the results become randomised to any area, etc.

It is just too hard to find someone of your age in your local area.

you can only get rid of it when uploading a new photo. When you upload a new photo there is a tick box to indicate whether or not you want to watermark the photo, just make sure it is unticked as it is ticked by default.

damn, so do I have to reload the picture then? That's a pain in the back. I think that should be yet another improvement in the website - to explain what is meant by the watermark...ah well.

I have two more suggestions, one a box which says whether or not a user is online, and two, a message/notification that comes up in the bottom corner of your screen to let you know when you have a message.
