Mine just disappear after logging on again. I tried a few and i know i'm borderline not quite following the rules so i can guess why they aren't being approved but it would be very useful if there was a way to inform users why. Whether it is the file size/ format or if the actual photo is unsuitable.

And if this is developed it will probably cause something else to break. So maybe an email from an admin person would do the job.

Try uploading your photo in a jpg format. Pretty easy to alter them to that. Make sure there is no nudity, no cartoons/landscapes/pets used instead of yourself, and that your face is clearly shown. If that's the case, you should be fine. Also note that they do take around 24 hours to be approved, and that when they are approved, they will show up with a green background in your "Manage Pictures" option.

If you were following the rules and the picture is still mysteriously disappearing. Try re-uploading the picture, and this time if you haven't, add something to the description box. I don't know how this makes any sense, but it worked for me when I was experiencing your problem.

I think it's a site issue, nothing to do with you. Tried uploading photos myself and they were rejected almost instantly.

Twice a days I check all uploaded pictures....(morning & evening) - 500 at a time. I have to decide within less then a second which ones to approve in order to finish it within a reasonable time. So all pictures that do not look right when resized to a small pictures are not approved (bad quality, no face pictures, logos of other sites, multiple persons, nudity, cars, famous people).,,somtimes I might deleted pictures although they might be acceptable - but better then allowing pictures that should not be online...as this is a free site, the effort of maintaining the sites needs to be kept at a minimum.

I can see why it can be a struggle accepting all the pics that come through, and i myself have never waited more than a few hours to have mine approved, guess ive just been lucky! BUT i had a pic on my old profile that got accepted but declined on another profile! You can see my face, tho not that clearly as im sitting now and i think i was slightly turned BUT how can a picture like that get declined and the 2nd picture on this profile get accepted?

Rotating worked for one of mine. I was upside down, but hey, at least it was accepted.
