I think the ticker description on the main site is a bad idea. When you have long descriptions from people, it takes ages to read and also does not come over in the right context as there are no breaks for separate paragraphs, etc.. (I know this is a ticker limitation).

I think it would look a lot better if people descriptions were in the same format as the rest of the information displayed about someone.

I agree. I rarely read them these days as I can't be bothered to wait that long

True, maybe toby could alter something so that it shows all the text without waiting for it all to scroll by??

I know you can view it it all at once when they join the discussion boards.

Yeah or change it to a vertical scroller with a few lines of text.

Well, either I'm lucky, or some people need to refresh their browsers (Ctrl + F5), because there doesn't seem to be any tickers any more.
