I'm not sure it's that good an idea (personal opinion, I'm not slating you for your own). I'm not sure i'd want to see how many people had looked at me and passed me by! lol

The service was trialled (albiet very briefly) and the feedback was mostly "I like being able to see who viewed me, but I don't like them being able to see me".
So Toby's removed it for now.

Most of the time, people would only activate the option to be visible to all, and to see who has viewed you when they're online or only briefly when they're interested in seeing it. Hence, most of the time people would be offline, so that others couldn't see if they were viewing them.
I'm assuming it's just a lot more work for Toby to create that feature. Failing that, i'm sure people would still come on the site asking for the ability to see who has viewed their profile WITHOUT letting others know if they have been viewing them.
I don't see the "who has viewed you recently" coming back in a hurry. If you want to know who looks at your profile, message the people you like the look of and ask! It's just as nosey as taking the information without their consent

But the service isn't viable. It's much like saying "you shouldn't take away the service that lets us look into other people's inboxes" - just because it's a potential service, doesn't mean it's a good idea.
As I said, we've tried it and it's gone back to the drawing board - your experience here is hardly incomplete without it
(and the 'messaging people to ask if they've viewed your profile' idea was meant to sound dumb - that's why I said it's "just as nosey as the feature you want" - understand?

The number of visitors isn't a valuable statistic for anything besides lighthearted comparrison between people.
Not all other websites have this function. And you'll find this website's an exception - it's run for people. Not to make money, hence if a feature doesn't go down well with the community, it gets removed.
Honestly, it's a great idea in concept. And then suddenly it dawns. How exactly will it help you?
Honestly? You say it lets you see more profiles - these people obviously look at your profile and don't send you a message, why would you want to talk to them? I'm genuinely curious to know how it could benefit anyone.
