not sure if its just a vista thing but when i try to upload a photo it comes up with wrong format all the time but its a .jpg file so if anyone had a simmiliar problem would appreciate your help.

Try to keep the width and height below 3500 pixels...make sure the picture has been saved correctly.

Otherwise open it again with an image editor/views and save it as a GIF or some other format and then upload it again.

(Irfranview is a good and free tool to do this).
