See you figured it out.
Should anyone else wonder, go to "Your Picture Gallery" (must be logged in).
Choose Add More Pictures.
The pic with a "1" underneath should display as your avatar in the forums.

How long does it take for new photos to get approved, then? I tried to switch one yesterday and am now minus a primary picture on the board. I was even virtually accused of being a peeping tom this afternoon. There again, I'm grateful for any reply I get. Oh, yes.
