hi, im new and have sent 4 messages this week, but in my profile where it says 'outbox', the 4 messages i wrote are sitting there and all have a status of 'unread'. is this normal then? have these messages actually been sent or are they waiting be sent?

whats happened is that, they have been sent, but the person you sent them to hasnt read them yet

It means that yes, your messages have indeed been sent and are sitting in the intended's 'inbox'. It's just that the receipients have not yet read (or have chosen not to) read them. Don;t take it personally though!

anyway ok guess i will play the waiting game for a bit.. before sending some 'stop playing hard to get' messages.

It happens to women too. I've usually got about 11 unread in my out box, but sometimes people are away for a few days and don't get around to reading them. It goes down to zero here and there, so I shouldn't worry. You could check to see if the people you're messaging are on line, 'cos then you're more likely to get a reply.

Don't give up on messaging people! I don't get replies back either, and I have quite a few that haven't been read, but it doesn't mean I won't stop trying. Just make sure your messages don't say- Hey babe, u horny?- and you should be fine

Have a look and see when they last logged on....

Always a good idea to see if they have logged on recently

Maybe they have been busy enjoying the sunshine and haven't logged on for a while
