I hear you.. i was wondering the same myself until today.. Also with the huge number of inactive accounts and no easy way to order by last login date.. i was thinking the search feature was useless..

and the basic search feature is pretty much.. but.. i found a post today which yielded this link.. and ill share it with you

(im not sure the default link.. so that one i gave is preset to the UK and northern ireland but you can just change it to suit you)

You can add in other search parameters but the best thing is the ability to order by last login date impo

What about the gallery page:

you can select the area and gender etc..and look at the pictures.

Or inside the "quicksearch" feature you can enter postcodes, townnames, regions or other areas, e.g. "hampshire", "portsmouth", "southsea" or "po1".

However this is a free text field and not all users have entered it....about 150,000 members are active within 1-3 months. Almost all members are active within 3 years...

search does not work, its not done for a while, also the favourite dont either unless you go to edit favourites

It does work...the quicksearch - just select the country first before entering something in the location field....
