As I live outside in London anyway my budget is practically zero. I used to have a squat in Southwark that I shared with a few other for a number of years but am now back outside. I sleep most nights up on Hampstead Heath in a sleeping bag placed inside bivvy bag. I store all my gear in bin bags hidden under bushes. Then cycle into central London each day on my bicycle.

One of my mates has also got a three man tent hidden in bushes near Teddington Lock he has a bus pass and travels into central London each day then back out at night. I slept out there a few times too. Living outside in London is not too bad as there are loads of drop in centres where you can get showers and cheap food to eat.

No I thought I had told everyone on these forums before. Hundreds of people live outside in London. And many more live in squats. It is a shame that my old squat no longer exists or else I would have been able to put a couple of people up. It used to be in Southwark on Webber Street.

I sell the Big Issue. Its hard to get a job with no address and most jobs want previous experience, references etc. Plus I can't get a council flat as I have no local connection to any borough. A local connection means having lived in a borough for at least six months, sleeping rough does not count. Plus it takes years in London to get a council flat. Plus I had a council flat before so will be disqualified from getting one again as i left my previous flat without good cause.

The only jobs I have been offered have been working for Irish gypsies doing tarmacing and block paving. Its not secure and is cash in hand work with no proper regulations. So didn't take it up.

By the way if you ar wondering how I am using the internet so late at night I am in the EasyEverything internet cafe on Tottenham Court Road. A load of us know how to get on for free there. During the day there is also free net access at the libraries as well. As well as a few other places such as Matchless Gifts run by the Hare Krishnas on Caledonian Road in Kings Cross.

Ever heard of homeless people??? When you come to London for the meet you will see loads of them about. I happen to be one of them. Just because I am homeless doesn't mean that I am thick and don't know how to use a computer.

where abouts do you usually go to sell your big issue mate? i might pop along a nd buy one some time. too bad your homeless, but isnt the big issue supposed to help you find accomadation and get you back on your feet? you shouldnt have to be sleeping rough as there is plenty of places you can go for help. or am i being too optimistic?
