I'm not very happy, but if there are other meets to be had then I think I can get over it!

I was pretty peeeed orrrf missing it too.
Instead my son and his fiancee moved into their new flat, when the van was being unloaded the downstairs neighbors (had not met them yet) decided 2pm was a good time to be rat-arsed and have a HUGE fight, screaming, thumping the blue blazers outta each other, china and even a chair thrown out the door.......lovely welcoming committee for the kids, I dont think!
Evil or Very Mad

To think I missed a cuppa with some of you lovely lot for that! Sad

Sounds like they've moved into a great place there. I bet that's not a one off occurrence you were treated to.

Oh well, marginally better for them to be downstairs neighbours than upstairs ones.

It was a very small meet.

Well, being a last minute, mid-week coffee- thing, it was quite a success that 3 of us turned up!
Actually, I ran into Curraghmore on the tube on the way there, so we started our ‘meet’ on the platform at Victoria and caught up on all our, erm ….. personal gossip on the way to Paddington. Well, we didn’t want to embarrass anyone else who turned up later, did we? Miss C was wearing a delightful grin (oh, and her black work clothes, of course).

As it happened only Kizz turned up to join us, when Miss C and I were halfway through our enormous glasses of red wine and then Madam Funky Chick phoned Kizz and shouted at us on speaker phone. I don’t know what she said. It was probably quite rude, of course Kizz was also wearing black (and very smart she looked too!) and used a battery operated device that she borrowed from Miss C to alleviate the flush from her carefully made-up face (it was a battery operated fan, silly!)

Anyway, us 3 being smokers, we decided to just finish our first drink and then go and stand in Smokers Alley and share Miss C’s portable ashtray. She’s so tight, she wouldn’t let us use it though! Kizz had to leave very early to go and babysit, so Miss C and I spent the rest of the time before I got on my train ogling these enormous coffee mugs, exchanging finer details about our respective partners, and having a giggle at our own previous meetings. Speaking of which, it was rather nostalgic that Miss C said goodbye and left me in almost exactly the same place that she first meet me almost exactly a year ago. Aw, bless ……

Oh, I was also wearing black. But I looked quite rumpled compared to the others, having spent the morning on the train and the afternoon working.

For those interested in the finer points, a) I eventually got back home to Plymouth just after 1.30 and b) Miss C did *not* take the mugs that she really really wanted and c) ChoochiO would have arrested her if she had, but she couldn’t come after all, so it doesn’t really matter whether Miss C took the mugs or not.
