i know normally it isnt nice to ban someone, kick someone or just plain remove-from-the-surface-of-the-forum someone for voicing , howsoever different, opinion.....
but just this once! please! can we? huh? huh?
21.10.2007, 13:12 quote

Could we ban him for flaming though? I mean, we all want him to stop, we've all told him to stop, and he is blatantly trying to advertise a service (albeit by being a complete cretin). He is the cause of negative feeling and for the general well being of the forums, is it not worth it?

Lovely to see you back babe.

if y'all would just stop replying, it would all stop. Stoney would have his own topics nobody would answer and eventually he'd stop posting them, because after all he wants replies. He gets no replies, he goes puttin them somewhere else where people reply.
Am I the only one seeing this?

no your not the only one bliss, but i'm not gonna post on any of his threads
whoops

I knew it was like that which was one of the reasons why advetised it on other sites. The guy whose party it was Robert Becks is quite a celebrity amongst the pick up community having been in the scene for over ten years and having one of the highest success rates. |

I actually think this is all true, simply because you just could not make this up

Even though his views are blatantly sexist?
'All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing.'
Melodramatic perhaps, but people have been banned for offending far fewer people than what Greystoke has. I could cite examples but hey, wouldn't that be incredibly pedantic? Nor would I want to thrust the blatantly obvious into anyone's face.
It's great pretending to be liberal, but the whole idea of free speech is that is all or nothing. You can't ban someone for upsetting an individual but then let one who many find offensive walk away scot free. That isn't quite how free speech works. It isn't selective, its all encompassing.
Still, internet, moderators, etc.

The general rules in most topics state
| Quote: |
| Abuse
We will only act upon abuse if it is reported to us by (one of) the target(s) of the abuse. This is so that people can joke about with their friends and have heated discussions without being babied. If you report the abuse, then we will act on it and hand out warnings, and in severe cases, hand out instant bans. Please see below to see how to report a post that offends/upsets you. Simply forward a PM to any member of staff. Explain what you find offensive. If you report a thread and we decide you were partially to blame for the treatment you received (ie. if you provoked someone into doing it), then you may also be warned for your involvement. An exception to the above rule is made when a thread is created for the sole purpose of abusing someone. |

| How to make a complaint
We do not allow you to complain about staff or other site issues on the public forums, as this usually results in people ganging up on the person the complaint is about, and causes 'mob mentality'. Instead, you should forward your concerns to Toby via PM, and it will be looked into. Writing out a complaint on the public forums will only get you into trouble, and will more than likely make it much harder to get your point across as the staff may consider it a rant rather than constructive criticism. |
People who have been banned before have been banned because people complained about them, or their posts were deemed outright trolling by the site owner, and the site owner is allowed to ban who the hell he likes, including me

I have to admit that i've only spotted this stuff in these two threads. This guy definitely needs a group alright .... a support group
Greystone, serious question here. What do you do when it goes beyond 'picking someone up' and the one night stand becomes more than just that, the time when you need to have a bit of substance, y'know character, personality, morales and (i know this will sound old fashioned) basic decent manners? What do you do when you dont have 'pickup lines' for a situation where you need to interact with someone and relate to them?
Man, i know people are reviewing their christmas card lists right now, scanning them for your name but even with that, can you do yourself a huge favour fella. Knock this crap on the head. All of this stuff will diminish you as a person. next time you feel the self preservation kicking in, dont fight it. Be your own person. A small bit of integrity is not only good for all your 'victims', its actually good for your own well being as well.
21.10.2007, 23:46 quote
In all fairness Scottie its bollocks in this case. Enough people have been vocal about it for at least a warning to be issued to him.
It's like someone getting stabbed while a copper watches and says 'sorry mate, can't do anything until it's reported'. He has been asked time and time again (granted not always in a polite and reasonable fashion) to stop posting links to that bullshit, and 'opinions' aside, I thought that linking to other sites (especially anything dating related) was distinctly frowned upon?
If it was up to me he would at least get a warning or the links removed. Having said that if it was up to me he'd be publicly flogged before being hung by his own intestines, but there you go.
I don't hold much faith in 'official' channels where anything like this is concerned. I can count on one hand how many times people have actually had some backbone and stuck their head above the parapet. It's amazing how lenient people suddenly get if it's going to cost them a few hits on their website.
A bit of pro-active moderation never hurt anyone.

I agree with you Bliss, as I've said before he probably has mental issues. Best to ignore him.
but in saying that he gets better responses to his posts and threads then me, which are largely ignored. Think he can teach me a few things
